River Jetty Restaurant Group will host a special fundraising event on Aug. 28 at The Lido Theater in support of the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. The evening will feature a screening of True Grit, with food by A Restaurant Chef Roberto Gomez and A Market Chef Shelly Register, drinks, themed cocktails, and both silent and live auctions.
Doors open at 5 p.m., the live auction begins at 6:30 p.m., and the film starts at 7 p.m.

Guests will celebrate a Hollywood and Newport Beach icon while supporting the foundation’s mission to fight cancer with courage, strength, and grit.
